In an American Society, the Vietnam War is viewed as one of the most iconic wars in American history. Millions of lives were sacrificed, millions of dollars were spent, and many years of battling and effort were put into this challenging war for the United States (Vietnam War History.com).
Ho Chi Minh ended up being one of the most influential communist leaders of the 20th century (Ho). Taking this into consideration, Ho Chi Minh became a struggle to the United States's objective of containing communism due to the fact that he was able to establish a good reputation as a leader from his past, create many organizations and parties, and sparked movements across the country.
